Adventures in Tourism: Sokcho part 1

During the recent holiday, Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving), I had the first opportunity in a while to travel and see more of Korea (outside of Seoul). It was also my first opportunity to travel without the aid of a Korean friend or guide. Brushing off our best Korean language skills, we traveled to the coast to see the East Sea in the town of Sokcho.
Upon arrival, I was amazed at the beautiful landscape mixing towering mountains and coastal beaches, fishing ports and mountain villages. We climbed mountains, walked along beaches, explored temples, and feasted on unique ocean cuisine. As much as I would love to find the time to write and describe the amazing sights and sounds of my recent trek, I sadly will once again have to let my photographs do all the talking for now.
