You'll have to forgive me, I am posting this as a Tentacle Tuesday post, but really it has very little to do with tentacles. I just wanted to make sure I took the opportunity to showcase the amazing art of Kate MacDowell. She does have one work, obviously my favorite, that does involve tentacles. But that does not mean her other work isn't amazingly worth the time to check out.
She is a porcelein artist who works with animal and anatomical imagery in a surreal rather haunting style (reminding me a bit of some of the work of Kiki Smith and others).
