Last week on Stephen Bissette's blog, he answered/ranted a question many of us get in the illustration business. Though he undoubtedly sees more business than I ever will, and perhaps I am more hesitant to turn things down. His long winded but precise response perfectly details the trepidation an artist feels when taking on a new project. What may seem like simple work to add onto a few weeks of an authors writing, can be incredibly complex. I decided to share this because of its insightful look at both the writer's and illustrator's point of view on the creation of graphic novels.
