Art of the Pulp

Since I am writing about pulp novels and magazines today, I thought I would showcase one of the best parts of the pulp world. The covers. Some amazing artists were churning out hundreds upon hundreds of paintings for these covers. As an illustrator I can appreciate the work that goes into these and the brilliant flair for catching the eye of the newstand patron. After all a cover's only real purpose is to get you to pick up and subsequently read the book.
