Urban Exploration

I am a big fan of urban exploration. I love finding the opportunity to get out and discover a city you may think is entirely familiar. Finding those fun little things to photograph. Sadly my rebellious days of minor B&E and trespassing are behind me so I can't get into the really exciting places. Getting arrested does tend to get in the way of being a dignified and responsible adult. So for now, though it is actually within the city I also inhabit, the one place I would love to go photograph is entirely off limits.
After the devastation of Katrina, the Six Flags theme park here in New Orleans was left in ruins, closed permanently. I found a number of articles and portfolios of far more brave shutterbugs. So I will let their pictures tell the rest of the story.
